Is Sophia really free?

Yes. Sophia is free to use on our website. There is nothing to install.

How does the AI pitch deck analyzer work?

Open Sophia and tap Pitch deck analysis. Upload your deck as a PDF or .pptx and she pulls the text, scores it out of 100, and shows what’s working and what to fix. Then ask follow-up questions. Sophia is an AI assistant and can make mistakes, so treat her score as a starting point, not investment advice.

What Sophia does for your pitch deck

Open Sophia, choose Pitch deck analysis, and upload your deck as a PDF or PowerPoint file. Sophia pulls the text from your slides and removes emails and phone numbers before the AI sees it. Then she gives you free AI feedback:

• A score out of 100. Eight areas are worth 10 points each: problem, solution, market, traction, business model, team, competition and the ask. Clarity is worth another 20 points.
• What’s working, with quotes and slide numbers from your own deck.
• Three to five numbered fixes, each with a suggested rewrite you can try.
• Missing sections your deck doesn’t cover yet.

Score bands: 85+ strong, 60–84 solid base, 35–59 early draft, under 35 starting point.

After your analysis, ask follow-up questions about the results, or get your results by email. Sophia then offers a free 30-minute call, where a person goes through your deck slide by slide with you.

Deck file limits

• PDF or PowerPoint (.pptx), up to 10 MB.
• One upload per chat, and up to five per day from the same connection.
• Upload the file itself. Sophia can’t open shared deck links.
• Decks made only of images can’t be scored, because there is no text to read.

Can I talk to Sophia by voice or video?

Yes. Type, or tap the mic to talk (Chrome, Edge and Safari; Firefox is typing only). On a computer, Sophia can reply through a video avatar; video replies are rendered by HeyGen, our avatar provider. On phones, she talks by voice.

What happens to my deck and data?

• Emails and phone numbers are stripped from your deck text before the AI sees it. Your name is never sent to the AI.
• Uploaded decks are encrypted and kept for 365 days after your last contact.
• Contact details you share are saved so JR Secure Design can follow up about your request.
• Save your chat to keep it for 30 days and resume it in the same browser. An unsaved chat expires after 120 minutes idle.
• Delete your chat anytime from the Sophia footer. That wipes the chat, your deck and its record, but not contact details already sent to our team or emails already sent. To remove those, email sales@jrsdi.com.
• Don’t upload anything you’re not comfortable sharing.

Is Sophia’s score part of the December 9 pitch competition?

No. Sophia is separate from the December 9 pitch deck competition, and her score has no effect on a competition entry or on judging. To enter, use the form on our Startups page, which accepts PDF or PPTX decks up to 20 MB (Sophia takes up to 10 MB).

If you simply want free pitch deck feedback on a draft before decks are due on December 1, you can use Sophia anytime, then submit your deck through the Startups page form.

Dec 9 pitch competition: a free online pitch deck competition for startups

JR Secure Design runs a free online pitch deck competition for startups. Submit your pitch deck by Tuesday, December 1, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Pitch night is online on Wednesday, December 9, 2026, 7 to 9 PM ET. The top prize is a $10,000 investment in the winning startup, subject to due diligence.

JR Secure Design Inc. is a Florida company based in Fort Lauderdale, and this startup pitch competition from Florida runs fully online, so founders compete from their own screens. It is free to enter, no purchase is necessary, and buying JR Secure Design services does not improve anyone’s chances.

How do I enter the pitch deck competition?

Submit one pitch deck per startup through the entry form on our Startups page. Upload your deck as a PDF or PPTX file up to 20 MB. The form asks for your name and email; company and phone are optional. Late, incomplete or unreadable entries are not eligible.

Who can enter the startup pitch competition?

Startups and their founders who are at least 18 years old and authorized to act for the startup. Idea, pre-seed and seed founders, solo founders, and technical and non-technical builders can enter. JR Secure Design employees, contractors, judges and their immediate families are not eligible. See the official rules for full eligibility terms.

How is the pitch competition judged?

Judges on the JR Secure Design panel score entries on five areas: problem and market, product, team, traction, and clarity of the ask. Judges’ decisions are final. Startups that present on pitch night get the online link directly from JR Secure Design.

What do founders get from the competition?

• Pitch deck feedback for every entry: every founder who submits gets practical feedback on story, product feasibility and investor readiness from JR Secure Design’s fractional C-suite advisors.
• Top prize: a $10,000 investment in the winning startup, subject to due diligence and signed investment documents. It has no cash alternative and cannot be transferred.
• Your deck stays yours: entrants keep all rights in their decks. JR Secure Design uses decks only to run the competition and evaluate investment, and can sign NDAs for entries.
